The Sunshine Charity childcare curriculum places great emphasis on creative art, including painting, coloring, sculpting, drawing, and other forms of art. Engaging in art activities supports young children’s development in multiple domains. It helps them develop fine motor coordination and control, and practice thinking skills by experimenting with color, texture, and design.

Art provides children with an opportunity to express their ideas and feelings, relieve tension, and develop self-discipline. Children also learn important art skills, such as using scissors, gluing, holding a pencil correctly, and coloring within lines, while exploring the process of creating something beautiful from start to finish. The children are also exposed to great artists through special art materials, inspiring them to create and appreciate artwork and discover the power of art as one of life’s greatest gifts.
